shit already got out of hand and crazy when they started introducing technology into the setting (as early as the yamato events, no? if not, then at least with the sepia stuff, when they added even things like tvs and phones). it's been quite some time since this was a grounded fantasy story, and going from swords and sorcery to sci-fi is a time-honored rpg setting tradition
i still remember the first time i saw this fucked up little guy and went "erm why does he have a visor with LEDs on it and shit, this is whack" but now i love him
i guess what i'm saying is it's all just excuses to add even more variety to the roster. trust the plan
