I find this state of mind so incredibly bizarre to understand. You DO understand that you can just beeline through the game, right?
It's literally the most bizarre complaint about a game I've ever heard, and I've heard so many people say it. Not even specifically about Rebirth, I mean about things like Cyberpunk, Tears of the Kingdom etc. You are basically complaining that the game gave you a wealth of things to explore and sidequests to do, minigames to play and so on, and you're acting as if the game is forcing you to do everything.
Granted there is a small portion of things like minigames which are mandatory, but I don't think it's excessive at all if you're intention is just going through the story and skipping most of it. But man, I feel sorry for the people who do that, because the Protorelic quest and final fight is unironically so much more kino and worthwhile than the actual final boss fight. Even the summon fight challenges were intense as fuck on Protorelic quest.
