This never resonated with me, because it's talking to the audience, not the characters.
There is no reason anyone ever thought rey's parents were special, because anyone, be they jedi or sith, not named skywalker was a nobody too.
And to rub salt in the wound, rey doesn't give a single shit about being abandoned when it's revealed. All the focus on the scene is her parents being nobodies.
