Many would like to point out that they removed the fog due to vita's hardware limitations and while thats true the bear in the room has to be addressed, golden changes the how the life in the 'outbacks' is supposed to be–It's a backwater town where nothing ever happens. And that is accurately portrayed in the vanilla since there's not much to do. Everybody is bored off their asses and most of the youth wishes to leave that place behind for better opportunities. The school trips to your next big city are the highlights of your year because of how mundane life is there. Golden changes this very tone by adding a shit ton of SoL events which contradicts the core theme. Also it makes the game baby easy which is bad for RPGs.
