In all honesty the whole "everyone is just a painting" has completely killed off this game's story for me. I can't think of a single media that pulled similar shit and that hasn't made everything worse. The game started off extremely strong with Gustave, and you getting to see things from his perspective, feel everything together with him. Then it kills him off and never recovers. Gives you the shitty painting twist, which cheapens everything prior (such as Gustave), and tries extremely hard to make you care about this stupid family that should all get killed off by that rival family for all I care. In fact, after the end of the game, and learning more about these shitheads, the only wrong thing that the other party did was not finish the job beyond just Verso.
