One issue is the (for a small MR sportscar) high center of gravity, which makes the effects of pitch and roll much more pronounced
Second problem is the rear subframe which was moving around in it's mounts a little too much, but this aspect was heavily revised for the facelift model and made for a massive improvement

The car was created by bolting an entire Laguna V6 front axle with driveline into the rear end of a Clio, and the another one without driveline into the front. There are probably some unholy quirks in that suspension geometry
