This never happened when Rare actually owned themselves, even when they worked for Nintendo they still were independent. It was only when Microsoft in classic fashion buys a dev and just sits on them does this stuff happen. Their pitches go unheard and all the ad money and attention goes to CoD and Halo instead because that's their bing bing wahoo's.
