OG Invader Zim was peak 90s Newground Edge right after his Johnny the Homocidal Maniac comics. Was it trashy like a Hot Topic Tramp Stamp? Absolutely but it was honest and genuine in it's spite & spittle. Florpus wanted Zim & Dib to throw pity parties and get a hug and care bear pep talk to get things done. It comes off as sellout shit going against everything that made Invader Zim possible just for some cheap crusty tumblrbucks that dried up like every other crycuck copyslop that's come out lately.
