good post. Bioshock 2 is a disaster, literally standing on the shoulder of the original as the ONE good thing it has going for it. It's absurd it gets any praise at all really, it is one of the blandest sequels ever made.
Another thing is that combat in Bioshock is not good and they did nothing to improve on it really except for allowing plasmids to be used with your other hand. So the further into the game you get the worse the playing experience is, because it just isn't fun to shoot a ton of enemies, the engine, the game feel just wasn't made for it. Bioshock 1 is the same, as soon as combat gets overwhelming it becomes a drag to play, it is much better played as like a slow game where you take on maybe 3 enemies at a time at most.
All this said, I do believe Minerva's Den is a worthy entry that more or less rivals Bioshock 1, it utterly mogs 2 into oblivion.
