It is absolutely an RPG. An RPG is not a game where you slowly increase in avatar strength and command a character to do the fighting for you. An RPG is a game where you have freedom of choice over who your character is and how they act. For example, you chose to be a murderer and are now crying about how the NPCs don't like you (even though you don't like them?)
