My lips have a strong tendency to get chapped and peel outward in dry bits, so I use a hobby nipper to clip and trim them off. In the past I would just pick them with my fingernails but it would pull the healthy moist skin too much and too deep, leaving parts of my lips raw

Chapstick feels really gross, greasy and unnatural on my lips, plus trimming the bits of dry skin feels way more satisfying
