Yeah, like the whole joke is that Boom Amy is just Amy if she kept her crush a secret, which only intensifies said crush to Yandere levels because she has no longer has a healthy outlet for it. Her not being open about her feelings is explicitly a bad thing here, but otherwise isn't really all that different.
