I can't say I ever watch quirky Chinese dramas but this ended up being pretty enjoyable. I'm a sucker for surreal stuff so I appreciated the meta/sci-fi angle they were going for with an alien film crew following the main characters; for a romance, it also manages to keep from being too saccharine until near the very end. There's a scene where the main characters inhabit each others' flashbacks that stood out to me plus the Chaplin homage was cute. Anons into WKW would probably enjoy this film (saw tons of comparisons) so I can see why Dallebro recommended it.
