Usury is forbidden in my religion, I can't pay it or collect it. I only bank at institutions which comply with Shariah, of which there are multiple in the USA and serve Christians as well.

I would highly recommend going through an Islamic financial institution which does not charge interest and assumes shared liability. There are many such institutions in the USA, one off the top of my head is University Islamic Financial.

You do not need to be a Muslim in order to invest with these banks, it is Haram (forbidden) for Muslims to charge interest from anyone. A deposit and proof of income is sufficient. It does not require any sort of convincing or tricking of the government.

This is the most cost effective way I know of borrowing money for land or any other major investment. Even a government loan can charge interest.

Housing is perfectly affordable through Shariah, usury is Haram. There are Islamic banks in the USA and they don't charge interest to anyone, Christians included. You need a stable income and a deposit.

You can afford a home on a working class income through Shariah. Muslims do not charge interest from anyone, including Christians. Look up an Islamic bank in the USA, there are multiple. Shariah already exists in the USA to a certain degree through Islamic banks.
