It died after Gen 3 for all intents and purposes but recently had a small renaissance after they released some visual novels and a (surprisingly successful) card game.
Still relatively obscure, even their best games struggle to break 3k-5k players on Steam. But it's pretty much the only Japanese monster game on the market right now other than the obvious Pokemon and Palworld.
