I'd be curious to know about the development of pic. Both Kitamura and Inafune worked on it, and it was apparently the game that the Capcom bosses told them to make, while the team worked on Rockman 2 as a side project.
It's actually an amusing concept, mashing the Famicom's fad genres of mystery adventure and baseball into a baseball murder mystery, but it seems to have been ignored entirely outside of Japan. I'd have thought that the Mega Man obsession would've spilled over into curiosity about MM2's sister game, but seemingly not.
