I agree. I had a good deal of fun with BG3 but characters like Dame Aylin and the Emperor really dragged down the experience.

Well during early access BG3 did go through a ton of rewrites. While players never got to test act 2. Through datamining there was a lot that had changed. Originally the Nightsong was a completely different character. People suspecting it to be some avatar of Shar or something along those lines. Until that was changed and she became an Aasimar that Ketheric held captive to maintain his immortality.
