429 barrel in the wild. As far as the ten inch barrels in general, I think they do an annual run of spare barrels every year and when they're gone, you have to wait for next year's run. As far as support, I think what keeps the Deagle alive is it's image. It's kind of a contradiction to me. The Desert Eagle is unique piece of engineering, but what sells it is the Hollywood mystique built up around it. Which is why it's available in all the crazy finishes. I think it also helps that you can get it chambered it bog standard revolver cartridges available at any gun store and don't have to reload or wait for the bi-annual run of Uncle Wildman's Super Special .478 Magnum by Remchester to shoot it. But all the hype, ironically, means what the Desert Eagle is actually good at gets neglected.
