You know, I feel like no one ever pays attention to me when I bring this up....and it's advice I wish someone would've condensed for me when I was young.
>Get a job, any job and save money
>On your days off either get a part-time, or do gig work like Uber, or delivering pizzas (save money
>While you're doing this, go to school online and get your real estate license, and take the property management course out of the list of required electives
>Quit full-time job and start working for a real estate broker
>Keep part-time job to supplement income at first (I recommend Uber or other gig work because your schedule is flexible)
>Go real estate FULL-TIME
>Bonus points if you can get a free apartment unit in exchange for managing it.
>Get your tax preparers certification, and insurance license
Okay, so that's what I did and now I have a one-stop-shop where I do fingerprint rolling, taxes, insurance, sell homes, and am currently in the process of starting my own apartment finding service (you don't need a special license to do that). And I'm pretty happy. I make 2% of all sales with my current broker because they do most of the work while I just show properties and get the paperwork signed...but you can make more. I sell about 3 homes a year and make 30k+20k doing taxes/fingerprints/insurance....I hardly ever work because I'm lazy and I get a free apartment that I manage. So that 50k is ALL MINE. I'm leaving a few things out because this post is already too long, but if I can do this, ANYONE can do it too. You could all have completely different lives in about a year. I was a heroin addict and was jonesing for the first part of this journey...and in about two years I completely turned my life around—like unrecognizable.
