god. elohim. breath. your name, dear lord of all goodness and grace, means breath. you know my deep desire for a child. breathe your life unto me. choose the best from us both to form a new soul. place it ever so gently in my womb where I will nurture and protect the most precious gift of life i am to receive. a little one to love and to hold, to care for, to cherish. a healthy baby in your holy image that will please you in this life and be an heir to the kingdom of heaven. remember me as you did sarah, planting seed in my womb, bearing fruit, as the most bountiful tree in the orchard. guide me in all my choices so that this conception, my pregnancy and our baby's birth are in line with your will. i long to honor you by being a mother who raises her children in love, respect and service to you. with praise for your glory and goodness, we pray that it is your will to fulfill our true purpose. transform us from husband and wife to a family. heavenly father and holy mother, hear this prayer and supplication of my heart, mind and spirit. (even though it's hard to wait for something i desire, i know your timing is perfect and i thank you for this season. i pray your comfort and peace would overflow and that you would help me to cast every care onto you. help me to listen to you fervently and to have eyes to see what you're teaching me while i wait. i trust in your timing and i believe you will make everything work out for my good.)
