Yeah it won't increase your rate of getting the other stat. I just meant if you want to focus more on other stats to try and maybe get Stam to over 1100 for a better chance at a 3* there you could neglect something like power on longs because you already have power sparks and really the only horses that benefit the least from power are long style, so you could afford to have that stat lower on those.
