Same. Have you seen this? It's the best example, most detailed set of photographs I have ever seen of a race car. I often think of these images when I see a car get smashed up really badly on track.

Additional fun fact the very first C5.R had the transmission bolted directly to the engine. The moved it to the rear differential a short time after it debuted. Probably when they went from the 6.0 liter to the 7.0 liter engine, but my only source on that is the 1999 24 Hours of Daytona broadcast.
