Queen Victoria introduces you to Ser Tavian Morn, foreign knight, exiled and landless.

He speaks to you with a strange accent, and talks about the battlefield where he lost a friend who followed him blindly.

He speaks calmly and you had never spoke with a man who exuded such confidence. Most men you knew were anxious boys in comparison. He seems like the kind of man who knows himself.

Though you talk at length, walking around in the palace with a bunch of servants trailing behind, you notice he shares very little about himself. He mostly asks you questions about what you enjoy doing and what kind of life you envision for yourself in the future.

As night falls, the servants go to sleep and the two of you are left (almost) alone in a balcony, with just a sleepy servant girl who is too exhausted to care about what the two of you do.

You see a falling star in the night sky. Tavian noticed it as well.

Tomorrow you're headed back to your barony.
