i don't know what i'm doing nor where to start. thank you anon for trying to inspire others.
venting: honestly no one helps me with anything nor asks me about myself, they just want to talk about themselves. i've worked with about 100 people for 3 years, talked to everyone and given them advice/help on things, only one person has ever asked me about my personal life and that was a formal closed-room 1-on-1 interview by someone else's boss trying to "get to know everyone" (get promoted). in social scenarios it's all business with work complaining or complaining about spouse/kids stuff. i feel like everyone forgot how to socialize, conversations are not a one-way street.... (disclaimer: my mom calls me asking how i'm doing, but she's the only one.)
