there's also this to consider, greeks and romans aren't direct descendants of the yamnaya culture, so if we were to define "white" as the descendants of the yamnaya (germanics, slavs, iranians) then greeks, romans and celts wouldn't be included in that "white" since while they mixed with different populations of yamnaya descendants they themselves aren't directly yamnaya, and maybe people feel that deep down on some genetic level, they're not sure how to put it into words but they have an intrinstic instinct that they (yamnaya people) are different from the non yamnaya (greeks, romans, irish), it just gets confusing when yamnaya call themselves white and then say that greeks and irish and italians aren't white, like what do you mean? their skin color is white enough? and they're both caucasian type people, but at it's core when yamnaya people say "white" they mean other yamnaya, they just don't know how to put it into words
