Damn, RIP. The Whispers were never really huge but they were a consistent and reliable r&b chart presence for a surprisingly long time. They started before the british invasion and were having hits into the new jack swing era as middle aged men. It's a Love Thing is probably my favorite of the ones I've heard (shame Mike Love didn't cover it).
