Welp.

I bit the bullet and bought my first doll (it's actually just a torso because of logistical reason), but I am sure that this rabbit hole will make me a buy a "real" one eventually.

I originally was going for a standard TPE torso from MotsuToys, but one week later, and I am already at four digit torsos. Way to go...
