This is probably a precaution for way in the future when the servers shut down so that they can't get legal trouble for taking away content that players "own". Steam makes it clear that you don't own the game and this change now makes it clear that you don't own any content within it. Basically, you own nothing and BHVR owes you nothing whenever they decide to bail.
