I went against my first good survivor team. It felt like I was losing even though I was doing nothing wrong. Chase a survivor, down a survivor, hook survivor. but every chase ended in at least 1 gen being done. when the final gen got done, survivors didn't open the gates right away which made me panic. they all ended up getting out and I only had one kill because

I kind of like the idea of the survivors setting off on mini-expeditions between Trials to try and find a way out. It could be the basis for another game set in the same universe as DBD. Something like Darkest Dungeon or some other dungeon crawler. You build up your party, select items and perks, and then go into a zone. Try to map things out, scrounge items and clues, get lore drops that flesh out the Fog. There's a ticking limit where you need to navigate back to the campfire by the time the Entity decides the next Trial is going to take place or Something Terrible[TM] will happen, resulting in a Game Over.

for survivors they're all reskins so there's no p2w there. the perks do matter but it's pretty minimal in terms of OPenis for licensed characters. i think almost every licensed survivor has at least one good perk though

Anyone know how stadia data was transferred over or how it affected MMR on the steam version? For reference, i'm pretty sure I had 1000 hours logged in on my stadia account before it went down and I moved over to steam. Because Dracula, Billy and Wesker have chase powers with counterplay and are honestly fun to try and dodge (and the killer gets punished for missing), and those killers require a bit of skill. Nurse and Kaneki are so boring to verse because mobility killers flying back to the hook or between the last 3 gens is not really enjoyable to play against, and their powers fundamentally dont belong in the game. Blight is more of the former but he has more counterplay than Nurse or Kaneki, he is just annoying if hes running a full generator regression build

it makes perfect sense if you play survivor. the killers that are the most fun are the ones that have powers that are interactive, i.e. dodgeable and mindgameable. also, crucially, pallet-able. if you can't use the resources on the map it starts to feel incredibly solved. kaneki locking you in place while he hops the pallet or nurse being nurse sucks. bad/mediocre nurses are still fun though, because you can break line of sight and play with their underdeveloped prediction game. the good ones are pure pain.
blight is an odd duck because he has elements of both. his hits in the open are really hard to dodge and he can put you in situations where he gets a free opportunity to do this, but also he's pretty fun to dodge when you have something to work with
