Since bullets are on a 2D plane it should be possible to dodge just like in 2D, it should be possible with the hitbox visible but I haven't implemented that yet.
Red is health, blue is shield, shield absorbs hits and doubles as battery for energy weapons, it can be recharged by grazing bullets. Explosions go straight through the shield.
Motivation is like GFW, increases as enemies are killed and bullets are frozen and death takes 100% of it away, it's game over if it runs out.
Bullet freezing is one of the last things I implemented in the 2D version but wasn't really fleshed out, it consumes shield to use and one thing I'm considering is giving out a motivation gain multiplier when many bullets are frozen at once, it's primarily used as an OH SHIT button
