It's a small thing that starts to matter once you're dealing with something like Vee, since the ice physics apply something that no other Toon in the game (okay, Rudie and Ginger have it too) has to deal with: acceleration speed, which only gets worse with the slow debuff.
If someone on the team is willing to distract Vee for Coal, it might not be a big deal.
