Still freighting, but less outwardly hostile. I'm pretty sure that the prominent twisted version of Mari we see with the distorted face and crooked neck is meant to represent a fear. Sunny's fear that Mari would hate him for what he did, and rightfully so. After seeing her at the piano, and after what she said, that fear dissipates a little. I think this is still the same nightmare that's haunted him. Just changed. It looks more like how the real Mari did, but still not entirely undistorted. Or it's just meant to be a spooky visual.
Look at her right arm. Not your right, her right. Look closely at how it goes downward, compared to Sunny's right arm. There's an artist's error. Her arm is layered over the sink. Oopsy daisy.

As sad as it is, Omori and blissful ignorance are probably the only things that stopped Sunny from killing himself years ago. Yet he still does so every single night in his dreams. Every single dream, few exceptions, reach their end at the tip of his knife. One he always carries around with him in the waking world. With how vividly his nightmares seem to haunt him even in the real world, it's a wonder he's never tried waking himself up by mistake and suffered deadly consequence.
