It doesn't matter now and Xblood with Elemental Barrage deals more damage because you use hastened metamagic with DLC rods that grant Bolstered/Maximized/Boosted/Some-other-2-metamagics and have 5 charges each. That way you can cast 3 spells per round even as a sorc or Arcanist.
Alternatively, if you want single element and be a Wizard, its Diviner with Geomancer dip.
