Unfortunately I don't think so. Void Shadows was excellent, but I don't think they can repeat the success of it. What's worse is I think owlkeks think so too, otherwise I can't explain the inexplicable quiet and lack of marketing push when it comes to this dlc. Hopefully I'm wrong

40kslop has a massive fanbase that will buy anything with a GW tag on it, compared to Pathfinder which is already a niche game on the ttrpg space. I'm not surprised it sold so well. But I'm genuinely upset Owlcat dropped fantasy to go full on scifi. I don't know if we will get to see Pathfinder 3 this decade.

Pathfinder 2e is a good system but in true paizo fashion most of the new lore is bad and a large factor is their obsession with politics.

wotr was held back by poor encounter design relying upon stat inflation. Buffing for 5 minutes so you walk across the screen slaughtering 40 goblins and a demon that has 40ac is not good encounter design. A proper turn based game with tabletop faithful stats and encounter design that has meaningful target priority, using the pathfinder 1e or 2e system would be great.

Owlcat learned a lot from kingmaker and wotr and it's really nice to see them make a proper turn based game with a variety of enemies in every encounter and less useless brainless map clears. They're improved as developers with every game they make and I'm excited for the future.

I'm playing Rogue Trader for the first time and I'm playing on unfair. I'm doing alright with combat so far, had to skip the Herald of Tzeentch fight in the sewers, but been rolling through other than that. However, I want to use Argenta and I'm finding her to be less than half as effective as the other companions. I'm running a warrior and also using Kibellah, so I don't have many situations in which I can use my burst shot, and it's not even that strong when I can. Should I prioritize rate of fire on weapons? I have a weak weapon right now "The Ripper" that has 8 rate of fire which I can double with that basic move I forget the name of. I just don't know if base damage or rate of fire is better at the point of the game I'm in, which is about 15 hours in.

Soldier on its own is ass. You need master tactician or arch-militant to make it worth it. I don't know where at the game you are (still in act 1 I assume), but Argenta will be ass in it because act 1 doesn't have any good soldier weapons. I suggest you give her a sniper rifle for the time being. And once you get your hands on a good bolter or flamer in act 2 and unlock second tier archetypes, you can switch back to high rate of fire or aoe weapons, whichever you rpefer

I think it lowers her affection with you since it's a power limiter for her. There are a couple of scenes where her powers go out of control which might not happen if she has the limited.

The prison is probably the hardest because you have a small party and still have to face the respawning prison warden (Evayne and his guards help out but they're mainly there to soak up shots).

Eurac V still gives you PF if you don't do it first, just less of it. You don't have to fight Cassia's servants either if you agree to kill the rebel guy.

Doing Rykad Minoris first is only worth it for roleplaying (keeping Camille Regias alive) and for skipping one fight (the AA gun) if you have the right stats.

I did Rykad > Prison > Eurac and I'm pretty sure I got PF out of it, though I might be misremembering. In general it seems Eurac > Prison > Rykad is best since Cassia is strong and cute and you get PF out of it too. Doing Rykad also gives you access to the techpriest vendor, so there is that.

I guess if you want to be thematic then go with a full Aldori build. The Swordlord prestige class has some cool features and by virtue of being a dex fighter you'll be a solid frontliner with good AC. The game has good itemization for Dueling Swords and thematically it fits since the character who basically kickstarts your path to be a ruler is a swordlord herself.

I never take either on my best melee. -11 or so AB is never worth it since you want to prioritize actually hitting things as opposed to a smidgen more damage.
Generic mooks that you'd hit the same even with the penalty don't need the extra damage either, but you will do more damage overall when you hit on a 2+ instead.
Cleave is just a dumb meme, where you need 4+ feats and the moon alligning to get an extra attack or two.
Get actual feats that benefit you all the time.

Elf Wizard is the way in every crpg.
Its the second most classic combo after Human Fighter. Basic yet strong and not as much overrepresented.
I don't even remember any Elf Wizards in media outside of Teclis yet any DND nerd would instantly agree: yep elf wizard is a classic choice.

Plasma is the way to go for damage. Use Bounty Hunter + Officer support + Exemplar talents (Deathdealer) to take as many single target attacks as possible to stack Plasma buffs. Once you get buffs rolling Officer heroic action on Pasqal can wipe fields which is fun

Most Inquisitors tend to be very well trained and equipped so they're personally very good combatants. They also have access to good gear and their authority lets them requisition things. Inquisitor Lords are all that + actual noble titles so they have personal assets like voidships, holdings, armies, etc. RTs are the voice of the Emperor outside the Imperium so technically an Inquisitor (Lord) has to obey him. However Inquisitors have absolute authority inside the Imperium so in practice it just comes down to a battle of influence and trading favors. In a straight fight you can and do stomp Calcazar.

In terms of personal fighting ability, inquisitors are in the upper tier of non-astartes humans, comparable with Sororitas, Commissars, IG Commanders, etc, but they have access to better and more specialized gear.
In terms of command, it depends on the individual inquisitor, how they operate and what alliances and resources they have accumulated. A Lord Inquisitor by definition is very influential and experienced and excels even among his or her peers. They probably won't have as much raw wealth and manpower available as a successful Rogue Trader, but they have access to more soft power.
