I was thinking about this the other day
Not necessarily this question specifically but Star Trek in general
Never really cared for it, so perhaps I'm missing something, but when did it become a "mainstream" thing with fifty different series and things being produced at the same time? Always assumed it was more of a niche thing with a new series and couple movies associated with that series every couple years (TNG to DS9 to Voyager) but now it seems all CBS does now is Star Trek. Did this happen during the Paramount days or did it start after the CBS/Viacom split?
