it just makes sense, really. Everything is drawn in a unified style for simplicity's sake and to highlight the significant differences between them. It also just so happens the style is based on Katoki's.
and Sniper Custom has been Katoki'd before by the man himself. Pretty neat honestly, there's no reason why a Type C can't be converted to Sniper Custom spec and the shield is a nice touch.
