I genuinely don't understand why Lance doesn't have some bulwark mode or whatever where you block all incoming chip damage and knockback, but can't move and rapidly drain stamina.

Power Guard is so backwards to me where you take increased chip damage and it's all about boosting the damage of the retribution thrust afterward. Being an immovable wall is basically the power fantasy of all Lance players.
