Despite all their claims otherwise it seems like, at least for the time being, we're left with a couple of people supporting the game while the rest went on to work on SM3 among other things. Because let's not forget Saber are actively developing at least 10 games as of 2025, i.e. Turok, which is an SM2 reskin.

I really want SM2 to be good, but it looks like devs and the publishers don't share people's sentiment.
