This is literally wrong on so many levels but I'm just gonna focus on the Ratchet thing cause it's the most baffling part and clearly retrofitting criticisms of the PS4 reboot onto the PS3 games.
>He's now a naive boyscout
He literally starts the trilogy crashlanding a ship he was too impatient to test properly before hijacking one of the emperor's ships for himself in the heat of the moment.
>Rarely makes something resembling wise cracks in Tools, becomes depressed by Crack in Time
Really?
>"When aren't they heavily armed?"
>"Age before beauty, general"
>"What are stones? Do I have them?" -- "I'll tell you later... and no."
>"Well now we know what 'B.S.' stands for"
>"Normally I have Clank to translate this stuff for me, can you say that again in non-nerd speak?"
>Is not a motivated protagonist and seems to just limp along for no reason, he almost feels like a background character at times
This one is just crazy to me, the PS3 Ratchets give him personal stakes for the first time since the original game - a large fraction of ToD's structure is pushed along by Ratchet's motivation to find the Lombaxes, clashing against Clank's motivation to do what the Zoni tell him to.
Ratchet is a big driving force of Tools of Destruction and while he spends a lot of ACiT in the passanger's seat because of Azimuth the ultimate pay off to that is him getting the final say regarding what happens to the Clock and the Lombaxes to show how much he's grown since the start of ToD.
