Literally all that's said is that Obi-wan and Luke's (unnamed) dad fought in a conflict (or conflicts) called the Clone Wars. The only line of dialog in ANH that could even obliquely imply that the Republic used clones was Leia saying "Aren't you a little short for a stormtrooper?" Which:
1. Refers to a military force that Obi-Wan very explicitly connected with the Empire ("only *Imperial* stormtroopers are so precise"), which implies that either the Republic didn't have stormtroopers or that the Imperial stormtroopers were somehow different than 'Republic stormtroopers' (the prequels obviously established otherwise, but the Phantom Menace wouldn't come out for another 22 years after ANH)
2. Only means the stormtrooper corps has a height requirement and that Mark Hamill (5' 9") doesn't meet it. Napoleon III's escort troop (minimum height: 5' 11") weren't clones, so why would it mean the stormtroopers are? (p.s. I only brought the Cent-Gardes up so I'd have an excuse to post picrel because their uniform was baller af. Deal with it.)
