Kinda surprised they went with "Jesus is from a race of alien celibates", even if I get that this episode is a parody of Prometheus and it's based on Scott's scrapped idea to reveal Jesus was alien.

But to me it seemed more like Rick and Morty is the kinda show that would just reveal the real Jesus to be really mundane, not divine in any way or even particularly insightful, just some cult leader no different from any other Joseph Smith, Elijah Muhammad, Marshall Applewhite, Jim Jones, Dwight York or L. Ron Hubbard.
