Nta, but choice paralysis just wasn't a thing in the early to late 80s. We heard that The Wizard of Oz or STAR WARS was going to come on TV, we dropped everything we were doing as a nation to watch those beloved features. Random other shows? We cared as much as we do now, at our emotional whims. Maybe I'll feel like ninjas tonight, or perhaps dragons roasting elderly men? Who knows? The point was that back the we still had choices, but we either jumped on them, or missed out. Nowadays, no one missed out, even though FOMO is more powerful than ever.
