I have another theory about why Abrahamic faiths hate faggotry so much: it's direct competition against their faith. In the Hebrew Bible, the chosen people are considered God's "wife", "slave", and "child". These are usually interpreted symbolically (and these are sensible interpretations), but there is also a spiritual/mental reality to this: God's followers are suppose to be economically, politically, and socially dependent on god like a wife, slave, and child are, respectively. Sodomy functions as a weird substitute for this dynamic in the sense that men are basically the highest material power on earth, and without childbirth, we are relatively free (minus STDs, of course) to indulge in sex indefinitely. With the advent of PreP, this will become even more evident. If a man can link up with an actual soldier, farmer/agriculturalist, or king, all of your material needs can be obtained, which eliminates the immediate need for religious devotion. This is why Sodom and Gomorrah were demonized in the Hebrew Bible; they made up all sorts of unfalsifiable accusations against the citizens
