>to cut your 1s and 8s early
Woops, meant 8m.

Anyway, in E3 we see you hoarding random wind tiles as usual. Don't do that. An 8s dora tile is more useful than a random W wind tile, especially since you already have 6s in hand. Not much you could've done in this hand though. Jyanshi 2 luckshitted hard. Maybe consider dropping the untested red dragon instead of the untested 8p if you're trying to avoid dealing in, but whatever.

In E4 it would be better for you to drop the east wind tile before the north wind tile. East wind is the prevalent wind, so any player can benefit from having a triplet of them. Your north wind only benefits you, however. So dropping the east wind first will give other players less opportunity to be able to pon your east wind when you drop it. This is especially important since east is both the prevalent and seated wind for the dealer (the east player), so denying him a triplet of east winds would be a big deal.

Your riichi here was pretty bad. You needed 3900 points in order to escape 4th place. Your hand's only yaku was riichi, so we'd expect it to be 1 han. 1 han won't be enough. You'd expect 1 han to score around 1,000-2,000 points only. Hitting Jyanshi 1 with it would help, but we can't count on that. Instead of declaring riichi, you can drop your 1p in order to get the tanyao yaku. Since we're only 3 discards in at this point, getting a new shape to replace your 12p shape is very likely. Escaping 4th here was very lucky.
