People have played World and Rise a lot during the lead up to Wilds due to the #ReturnToWorld campaign and all the vtubers playing it.
They were super hyped for Wilds and that game turned out to be either disappointing or way too short, and the updates have been rolling out abysmally slow.
So right now people are just bored by MH in general. We'll see when Wilds MR comes out.
