There's a distinct possibility this is all going to take a deceptively dystopic turn where we don't have freedom of access to information.
The other day I saw that Wikipedia was getting harassed by this ban: part of Wikipedia's terms of service is an anonymous contributor system meant to protect the identity of people reporting in political compromised countries (think China or Iraq). This infringes on the new ID system for the UK/Europe.
