Regarding the books and cantos, the previous cantos atleast had some relation to the canto in its themes, motifs, and major moments (gregor's war trauma and bug appendage mirroring the theme of alienation from his novel, cathy's erasure mirroring her death, don quixote dying and handing over the dream to sancho mirroring don quixote also abandoning his ideals and dying, etc.). Doesn't feel like there was anything like that in this canto
