MT is one story and it woudnt be 10/10 if either first or second half was missing.
praise is most deserved when looking at the first and second half of the light novel not any part by itself I definitely enjoyed the second half of MT more with the threat of Hitogami looming which is handled with surprising nuance, and the bittersweetness of Rudeus’s aging as he slowly develops his family, reputation and legacy of his house is top notch.
I won’t go into argument about the first half because I like it as well but everything from action to plot progression, to characters are superior in the second half of the story.
