Could you guys walk me through step by step what it was like getting your licenses? Like the whole process.

So recently I got myself an 05 Mustang GT.
I had it probably about a month or 2, then checked the oil and it was low.
My brother told me I was letting it rev too high before I changed gears, and that could be why.
I usually let it go to 3k RPM’s before shifting. Is this ok? What about the oil situation? It doesn’t smoke or n4dananything.
