FF14 is painfully out of touch. They killed off the Twelve in 6.X. They pushed a universally despised shonen protag in DT. They won't let you go on daily hangouts with the Scions a la ZZZ. These are all the bare minimum these days for a storyfag game and they all failed. That's why it died.
